Mule Ears Milky Way – Big Bend NP This is the iconic Mule Ears formation in Big Bend National Park . It ' s truly a breathtaking scene . I photographed it several times but never really captured the awe . I was fortunate this time to spend a few months in the area when the Milky Way was visible and managed to capture Mule Ears in its foreground . Mars was also very visible the entire summer , you can see it between ' the ears ' in this image .
